Extinguishing Systems

Gas Based Extinguishing Systems

There are special gases that are used for fire suppression in class A, B and C fires. These systems were designed to extinguish fires in a fast and efficient way, with the main advantage that they do not harm existing personnel and property in the risk, reducing losses and the time to restart activities immediately after the outbreak of fire. The best suppression gases on the market are FM-200, Argonite and Novec 1230; each of these gases has particular characteristics, we invite you to contact us and we will recommend the one that best meets your needs.

GAS FM-200 based
systems

These systems can be used in areas such as: data processing equipment, telecommunications equipment, control rooms, clean rooms, libraries, museums, galleries, etc … because they are used for the suppression of fires in specific hazards or localized equipment where an agent is required that is not conductive, that does not leave residues or that protects normally occupied areas.

GAS FM-200 is a clean, efficient and residue-free agent; it is stored in liquid form and when it is discharged (by detection in any area within the computer room through detectors or manual activation using the trigger station) the liquid vaporizes, reaching the nozzles in gaseous form and is evenly distributed flooding the enclosure to protect.

GAS NOVEC 1230 BASED SYSTEMS

These systems can be used in areas such as: data processing equipment, telecommunications equipment, control rooms, clean rooms, libraries, museums, galleries, etc … because they are used for suppression of fires at specific hazards or localized equipment where an agent is required that is not conductive, leaves no residue or protects normally occupied areas.

GAS NOVEC 1230 is a clean, efficient and residue-free agent; it is stored in liquid form and when it is discharged (by detection in any area within the computer room through detectors or manual activation using the trigger station) the liquid vaporizes, reaching the nozzles in gaseous form and is evenly distributed flooding the enclosure to protect.

ARGONITE GAS BASED SYSTEMS

GAS ARGONITE is a mixture of three inert gases (nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide), which extinguishes the fire, lowering the content more than the levels that supports combustion. When ARGONITE is discharged (by detection in any area within the room through detectors or manual activation using the trigger station), it introduces an appropriate mixture of gases that still allows a person to breathe.

HIGH AND LOW PRESSURE GAS CO2 BASED SYSTEMS

These systems are used in areas or spaces that are not normally occupied by people or that are visited occasionally in small periods since it displaces oxygen and can cause damage to humans, but for To avoid this the system must be installed according to the requirements of NFPA12. This gas effectively suppresses fires in most materials because it lowers the amount of oxygen available to the fuel and has a cooling effect consisting of dry ice and vapor particles; exceptions are some active metals and water metals. The differences between the high and low pressure systems are mainly the containers, since the former are stored in cylinders of 100lb capacity and smaller, at a storage pressure of 860 PSI @ 70º F and the latter are stored in tanks of 2 ½ ton and older with a refrigerator to maintain pressure and temperature conditions that are 300 PSI @ 0º F.

AIR TIGHTNESS TESTS

Tests to confirm that there are no air leaks in the room, so that when any gas system is activated, the concentration of the gas within the place to be protected is maintained.
